▼Custom Molds
Custom molds can be made for you if we can find the object that you would like made into a mold. You can mail us the object, or you can see if we can locate the object. In some cases a woodcarver could make an object for you. We price our custom molds by the size and depth. So the bigger the mold the higher the price. Molds can be made of just about any object, as long as it does not have any under-cuts. An under-cut is an area where clay can get trapped in a mold preventing easy removal of the casting from the mold.
If you look at the diagram below, and then imagine filling this mold with your casting, it would be impossible to remove your creation without breaking the mold. |
